Minnesota’s 13th largest lake, Lake Minnewaska, has become a year-round destination for many families. Anchored by Glenwood on the east and Starbuck on the west, it offers plenty of options to keep your whole family busy this summer. The area features nine resorts, campgrounds, two 18-hole golf courses, community celebrations, bike and running trails and most importantly, fun at the lake. In May, lefse lovers gather for Starbuck’s Lefse Dagen, celebrating the baking of the world’s largest lefse.  Early July features Heritage Days in Starbuck. The end of July, Glenwood puts on its huge Waterama celebration. August brings the Pope County Fair, also in Glenwood. The summer fun ends with Eple Tiden, celebrating the apple harvest in Starbuck.
