Pioneer Village decked out for holidays

If you are heading Up North to visit family for Christmas this weekend – and the kids need a little break during the car ride – check out the Enchanted Pioneer Village at Paul Bunyan Land.

It will not only be a great travel break, but you can find last minute Christmas gifts as well.

The Enchanted Pioneer Village is fully decorated inside and outside the buildings with holiday themes. The village can be seen by strolling through or riding the Christmas Trolley. Santa may be seen in the village also! Bonfires and hot chocolate drinks are favorites to keep warm.

The attraction is open Friday, Dec. 23, from 6-9 p.m. and is located six miles east of Brainerd on State Highway 18.

Paul Bunyan Land has been in the Brainerd Lakes area almost 60 years.  Starting on the Corner of 210 and 371, this attraction soon grew to fill 6 acres with amusement rides and buildings.  In 2003, Paul Bunyan Amusement Center was relocated to its current location due to technology, innovation and plain old industrial growth.   With a new name and much larger location (23 acres), Paul Bunyan Land coupled with an existing attraction, This Old Farm Pioneer Village, to widen the appeal to all ages.   The Pioneer Village is the largest one man collection of antiques from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s in Minnesota.
