Winter temperatures have finally settled in, and Minnesota’s ski resorts are open for business. Residents not wanting to travel too far north, have two great options in central Minnesota.
Power Ridge Recreation Area near Kimball opened to skiers and snow boarders Dec. 8, but snow tubing will not be offered until after Christmas. All of the runs at Power Ridge are lighted for night use, and you can grab a meal at either the Ridge View Kitchen or Chester’s Bar & Grill.
Ski lessons are offered, and Power Ridge also offers laser light tubing, and any other special event packages.
Mount Ski Gull is located on County Road 77 S.W. near Nisswa. Mount Ski Gull offers skiing, snowboarding and tubing and will open Dec. 16.
